CCW News from Elaine Riebe - January 2021
To all who participated in the Angel Tree gift program and Christ Child Layette we extend a hardy and heartfelt “Thank You”. Your gift has made a difference in a youngsters life and a mother in need to provide for her baby. God bless you all.
A message from Elaine Riebe:
Dear CCW members,
We recently received an email from Carol Brennan of All Saints parish requesting a rosary be prayed each Wednesday at 9am. We are asking the Virgin Mary for a miracle to end the Covid19 pandemic. Ladies from All Saints parish, the Vicariate and Diocese will also join in our prayers. Please pray the Memorare and the prayer below before the rosary.
ROSARY PANDEMIC PRAYER
DEAR MOTHER MARY,
BECAUSE OF YOUR "YES" WE LIVE TO GLORIFY YOUR SON. THANK YOU, DEAR MOTHER, FOR HEARING AND ANSWERING OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL, WE ASK FOR YOUR INTERCESSION FOR A MIRACLE TO END THIS CORONA VIRUS. WE PRAY FOR ALL THOSE INFECTED WITH IT, THEIR FAMILIES, HEALTHCARE WORKERS, EMERGENCY RESPONDERS, ESSENTIAL WORKERS AND ALL OF US AFFECTED BY IT.
WE ALSO PRAY FOR AN END TO ABORTION BY WHICH MANY LIVES OF INNOCENT BABIES ARE LOST. THIS MAY NOT BE A PANDEMIC BUT IT IS CERTAINLY ENDEMIC IN OUR COUNTRY.
May God continue to bless all of you and keep you and your families safe.
The CCW appreciates your generous support of our Lenten Service project. All items (322) were counted, separated, boxed and will be delivered to the Christine Ann Domestic Service site on Monday April, 6th. God bless you during this Easter Season. And thank you!

Santa's Sweet Shop weekend is nearly here. The CCW is counting on your Christmas cookie and candy donations to help make it a successful event. Items may be dropped off anytime on Friday, December 13th or by 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 14th, when packing begins. Help will be needed to pack up the treats, adding ribbon and holiday décor. Thank you for your consideration in helping with our project.
A suggestion for a new family tradition:
Instead of the popular Elf on the Shelf custom at Christmas, instead hide Nativity pieces throughout the house or hide a single figure/animal in one or two rooms ending with the Christ Child on Christmas Eve. Make it a game to
reiterate the reason for Christmas.
